Could be a nice shooter - so much right but not quite there yet.

Haven't shot it yet - lots of dry fire and an attempt to fix the design flaw. This is my 5th 2011 - I kept a Prodigy and a Bul SAS 2 in my safe. I also own many 1911's and do lots of work on them. All that to say - that experience will not help you when dis-assembling and re-assembling this pistol. Ambi safeties and grip safety don't play well together, trigger bar and sear spring have weird angles. But why did I take it apart? The grip safety memory bump is too shallow. Literally have to stick a 1/16" rubber pad on it to get it to engage. Now, I can completely shift my grip to the left and make it work, but then the pistol will likely be uncomfortable to shoot and my POA will shift. Anyway I got it all back together and now have hammer drop while holding trigger back while racking slide. I talked to LFA ( nice people by the way ). They are going to let me send it back under warranty and repair it. However there is no fix from them regarding the grip safety design. So I will likely run it with a stick on rubber bump to verify it works, might wait to see if LFA owner decides to upgrade the grip safety - May decide to replace it, but afraid will require too much fitting in that 3d printed grip module. Or may sell it off to someone with skinny hands and long fingers. All that aside - here are some pros: 1. beautiful cerakote on the black version. One of the best disconnector bump solutions ( groove cut into slide ramp for disconnector to ride through) this one design eliminates all of the disconnector hang during slide travel. So the slide runs like greased lightning. The recoil spring is light, grip ergo's are ok, but the dragon scale is slippery. Sights are great I guess ( haven't shot it yet)
